PolkaBridge: A Decentralized Cross-Chain Protocol

PolkaBridge is a decentralized cross-chain protocol designed to facilitate interoperability between Polkadot and other blockchains. In addition to bridging services, it incorporates decentralized finance (DeFi) features to enhance functionality. Currently operating on the Ethereum blockchain, PolkaBridge plans to expand to the Polkadot network, with future support for additional chains based on demand.

### The PBR Token
The PBR token serves as the native asset of the PolkaBridge ecosystem. Initially issued as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum, it will later be introduced on Polkadot. The token has several key use cases:

2. Serving as collateral for staking
3. Distributing staking rewards
4. Enabling participation in Initial Decentralized Offerings (IDOs) via the Launchpad
5. Acting as a base asset for cross-chain swaps
6. Supporting lending and prediction features

### PolkaBridge Platform Features

- PolkaBridge Farming – A deflationary staking mechanism that rewards users without relying on inflation. Instead, a portion of each transaction is allocated to staking reward pools, while another fraction is burned.

- PolkaBridge Launchpad – A platform for Initial Decentralized Offerings (IDOs), designed to support emerging projects and provide PBR holders with early-stage investment opportunities.

This structure ensures a sustainable ecosystem while fostering cross-chain connectivity and DeFi innovation.
