Hord is a protocol designed for creating and trading tokenized baskets, also known as ETFs.
The ecosystem involves two main participants: Champions and their Hord. Champions are typically market influencers, funds, or long-term traders with established strategies. They share their portfolio data, which their Hord (followers) can use to replicate their holdings.
Hord operates through two key smart contracts:
1. Champion Contract â Facilitates Champions by broadcasting their portfolio data.
2. Mirror Contract â Allows followers to deposit funds, which are then allocated in the same proportions as the Championâs portfolio.
When users deposit funds into the Mirror Contract, a token representing their share of the portfolio is minted and distributed to them. This token acts as a redeemable claim on the underlying assets held in the Mirror Contract.
The ETF tokens can be traded on Hordâs decentralized exchange (DEX), which operates with an order book model.
