Norbi (NORBI)

Deep within the eternal snows and icy glaciers of the majestic Himalayas, where centuries of frost have preserved ancient secrets, a timeless legend has begun to stir once more. His name is Norbi, derived from the Tibetan word "Norbu" (ནོར་བུ), meaning "precious jewel" or "treasure" a name that evokes rarity, spiritual value, and immense fortune, much like the revered Three Jewels (Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha) in Tibetan Buddhism.

For countless generations, Himalayan folklore — spanning Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan, and Sherpa communities — has whispered of the Yeti (known locally as "yeh-teh" or "mi-go," often translated as "rocky bear" or "wild man"). Far from the sensationalized "Abominable Snowman" of Western tales, the Yeti in traditional lore is a powerful, elusive guardian of the mountains: a protector of sacred spaces, a helper to spiritual figures like lamas and yogis, and occasionally a disciple capable of following the Dharma.

Stories describe benevolent Yetis aiding meditators in remote caves, warding off evil spirits, or serving as symbols of nature's untamed power and mystery. In some variants, they appear as massive, fur-covered beings (with types like the fierce black-furred Nyalmo or the reddish-brown Rang Shim Bombo), blending the line between animal, spirit, and human-like entity.
